Bach to Rock at the Earth Day Food & Wine Festival
The Earth Day Food & Wine Festival, held on April 17, 2010 in Santa Margarita, California, will sound as great as it tastes, thanks to the toe-tappin’, fiddle-playin’ four-piece band, Julie & the Bad Dogs. Julie will open the Premiere hour of the main event with classical violin and then bring in her “dogs” (Glen, Art, and Frank) to get things rockin’ as the event’s General Admission gates open. Come join us on the dance floor as the band plays a combination of blues, rock, country (and then some) while celebrating Earth Day at this unique food & wine event featuring earth-friendly cuisine.
Of course, Julie & The Bad Dogs are just one part of the Earth Day Food & Wine Festival. This year’s event will offer a full weekend of activities to complement the abundant gathering of food and wine purveyors at the main event on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Come toast with the winemakers, nibble bites of local cuisine and shake the hand of many farmers who grow the sustainably produced food and wine offered here on the Central Coast. These earth conscious exhibitors will be showing off their fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, olive oils, hand-crafted wines and more all in celebration of Earth Day.
Also don’t forget about our commitment to host a minimal footprint celebration! We have again implemented an extensive recycling and composting program, plastic reduction policy, solar powered entertainment stage, convenient countywide shuttle services and carpooling initiatives to reduce waste and energy throughout the entire weekend. As a result, in 2009 the Earth Day Food & Wine event generated only two bags of trash for over 1000 guests.
We look forward to raising a glass with you at the 4th annual Earth Day Food & Wine Festival as we celebrate the hard work of and dedication to each of our participants to protecting and conserving our valuable resources.
Cheers!
